The Time Firm provides independent, accredited watch valuations across the UK. Led by a JVA-accredited Watch Specialist and Valuer, we deliver formal, professional assessments with clarity and expertise.
Whether for insurance, estate planning, or personal reference, our home visits allow detailed examination, accurate documentation, and comprehensive reporting of each piece.
Fascinated by watches from an early age and having completed formal watchmaking training, Nick has developed broad expertise across horology, valuations and collector advisory services. His experience includes sourcing and facilitating the sale of a Piece Unique watch at a major New York auction, alongside advising collectors and enthusiasts on acquisitions, valuations and collection management. Prior to founding The Time Firm, Nick held senior technical leadership roles managing global supply chains and supporting strategic relationships with some of the world's largest retailers, developing the analytical and stakeholder-management skills that continue to underpin his work today.
1. Enquiry & Initial Review
Provide basic details of your watches. We will review the information and respond with a clear proposal outlining scope, requirements, and fees, along with any initial questions.
2. Home Visit & Examination
A JVA-accredited Watch Specialist conducts an in-person inspection at your chosen location. Each piece is carefully examined, recorded, and assessed to ensure accurate identification, condition evaluation, and documentation.
3. Valuation Report Preparation
We prepare a formal written valuation based on current market understanding, condition analysis, and comparable data. Reports are structured for clarity and suitability for insurance, estate, or private use.
4. Report Delivery & Support
You receive a completed valuation report along with any relevant supporting context. Where required, we can provide clarification on valuation figures or documentation usage.
Pricing (2026)
£185 per watch (minimum two watches).
Travel costs may apply for non-local home visits. Please enquire for a tailored quotation.
